Facebook Security: Know Your Active Session

Security Settings on Facebook
Playing around with Facebook this morning I saw a setting on how to know your active sessions. Under Security Settings > Active Session. So what’s this for? Is this a feature to know if someone logs in to your account without knowing it?. A security feature that protects your Facebook account but you should know how to use look on it and here’s how. Every Internet connection requires an I.P address and if you know how to look for and I.P address you should be able to check if there is someone logging in to your account. Checking your I.P address is simple

you can visit this website for an IP look up: http://whatismyipaddress.com/ip-lookup record the information and also your  estimated location. If you log in to Facebook and check your active session if should show the current IP session , Location and Device Type:

Facebook Active Sessions

Last Accessed:  - Showing the date and time of last activity
Location: Showing the estimated location (Approximate) it based on IP
Device Type: Showing the Device or Browser that you use
The setting will show at least 5 activities and did not include the sessions on Facebook Mobile site (m.facebook.com). So how can it help me to track  someone who is logging in to my Account.? If the session shows different location and approximately different I.P maybe someone logs in to your account without you knowing it. Change your password and monitor your current session. Know Facebook Security Setting to protect your privacy.
