Error 3149 on Itunes cannot restore/upgrade iPhone

If you’re an Apple user Itunes is your perfect tool for the device but have you encounter this error message. “Error 3149 on Itunes” Apple does not support downgrading the device but most of the user who downgrade the device encounter this error on itunes. Updating the itunes wont help since this error pertains to your Internet connection one of the user in apple posted some information about error 3149 and here it is: “iTunes cannot contact the gs.apple.com server on ports 80 or 443. try without using one or with a known-good network”  Okay steps might be complicated for basic computer user but the only issue is itunes is not connecting to the Internet even you can access different site and Internet is working fine. So how to resolve the issue is there a way to resolve this? I will show you the steps on how to edit the host file. Make sure itunes is not running. Look for the host file if your on Windows here is the path: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts for Windows and for Mac :/etc/hosts  Host file can be open on a notepad or any text editor make sure your on Admin to edit the file. Add the following text on the host file 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com Connect your iPhone to the computer  Open up iTunes  Put your iPhone/iPad/iPod into DFU mode by the following steps.  Use iTunes Restore feature as usual with the iOS device The following steps might or might not work on the system as upgrade, downgrade is not supported by Apple.
