Just like a regular day opening my computer and creating
some Corel Draw design when suddenly a message shows up. Try restarting your computer and
then restarting the program. If these actions do not resolve the problem,
please uninstall and reinstall the program. (Error 38) . It’s more of a
troubleshooting error message since it’s a suggestion. I did the restart and it
takes time for my computer to shutdown and load to the desktop. I wait for
about 5min just to make sure that my computer is ready
but when I click on the CorelDraw shortcut icon it pops up the same message. The next step is to uninstall and reinstall the program, I don’t want to uninstall the program what I did is reinstall it since I have my installer. After waiting for about 8-9 minutes of installation and selecting the repair option I restart my computer again. The load up time is much faster and once the shortcut icon shows up I click on it and my Corel Draw Suite X5 is back. The files and recent documents are still there no changes at all after the repair.

ReplyDeletebut your suggestion helps! I've repaired my Corel throw Control Panel>Programs and Features>Corel - uninstall>> REPAIR!
...now its "good morning"! +)
Good for you Wads.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
The repair worked this time. This happened a week ago to the same user and we tried the repair - no luck. We had to run an update at that time which appeared to have fixed it - until today anyway.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering is her 64 bit Corel X6 is being damaged by the 32 bit Corel DVD program put on by Lenovo.
